The Tiny Hobo Greeting Cards!

5 Nov

Hey everyone! I migrated over here from Blogger (I find WordPress way easier to use), so let’s kick it off with a brand new blog post!

I’ve been really quite busy lately creating artwork that I haven’t even been able to share with you all yet. But now I’ve finally found the time to sit down and gather it all up!

Mostly I’ve been working on greeting card designs that I’ve been selling locally here in Asheville, and I just finally put up for sale in my Etsy shop.

Here’s a photo of me peddling my wares at the Ooh La La Curiosity Market just before Halloween! (Can you tell by the ridiculous bow in my hair?!)

Whew. But now it’s after Halloween, so you know what that means: SUIT UP FOR THE HOLIDAYS!

I know I absolutely love getting cards, so it makes me happy to send cards to others that have my art on them! And now you can send a Tiny Hobo greeting card, too!

I’ve added some of my classic designs (click the ppictures to check them out on Etsy!):

Check out my Etsy shop to see even more designs…and I’ve got a few more on the way!

And keep an eye on my Facebook page as well–I’ll be offering some exclusive coupon codes very soon! ♥

Hi tinyhobo! I am a fellow etsian and am also fairly new to wordpress (and blogging in general). I’ve noticed your cards on etsy before and think they are darling! Very unique and warm. I make jewelry using a combination of vintage, antique and modern day supplies…everything is one of a kind. I do a bitty bit of mixed media art, too, but my jewelry sells the best so that’s where I spend most of my time. I sell best at local art fairs, but am hoping to grow my etsy business. Any tips?
I’m going to follow your blog and hope we can become internet friends. If you’d like, you can check out my blog at http://www.creativesoulsara.wordpress.com or my etsy shop at http://www.theCreativeSoul.etsy.com
    Peace to your heart,
    Sara

Hey Sara! Thank you so much for the kind words! ♥

As for tips on Etsy, the best advice I can give you is to simply stick with it. Be consistent even when it seems like nobody is paying attention (this is hard for me to follow too, but it’s important!). Make sure you get your work all over the place–it’s great to do art fairs and hand out business cards, and seriously take advantage of social media sites like Facebook, Tumblr, Pinterest, and anywhere else you can possibly think to stick your work. Trust me, it takes a while to start seeing results, but as they say, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Be patient and above all else, love what you do. Best of luck! ♥

Oh, I definitely love what I do…aren’t we lucky that we do? Thank you for your input. I am just starting to do all the social media stuff…facebook, pinterest, flicker photostream…I don’t know what Tumblr is but I’ll check it out. Thanks again
        Peace to your heart, Sara
